    Message from Principal Dr. Clark

PSRC Early College at RCC Family

If your child did not get to check out a computer and you need one please email me (text or send me a remind) at

We will make every effort to get one for you.

You may also sign up for my remind by clicking this link and creating an account (it's free): https://www.remind.com/?rid=125357843&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=teacher_share

Finally you may use the following number to text me as well: 910-535-1835

Early College student work is located online. Assignments for students in grades 9-12 for the first 10 days of closure will be communicated by teachers via email, virtual classroom (i.e., Google Classroom, AP Classroom, etc.).

Students are expected to complete and submit assignments daily via virtual classrooms or upon their return to school. Teachers will be available via email during established office hours on eLearning days to respond to questions, provide feedback, and clarification regarding assignments. If you have problems contacting a teacher please email me, send me a remind or text me.

Remember the college side has extended spring break until Monday the 23rd. Afterwards students participating in college classes will be required to continue with their course work. Much of that work is already online and students can begin working now. You can have your student show you all this by having them log into their Moodle account. From there you have access to grades, assignments and due dates.

PSRC is providing daily meals to students at the following locations:

    Fairmont High School

    Lumberton Sr. High

    Oxendine Elementary

    Purnell Swett

    Red Springs High School

    Southside-Ashpole Elementary

    St Pauls High School

    From the Guidance Department:

    • Take time to talk with your child about the COVID-19 outbreak. Answer questions and share facts about COVID-19 in a way that your child can understand.
    • Reassure your child that they are safe. Let them know it is OK if they feel upset. Share with them how you deal with your own stress so that they can learn how to cope from you.
    • Limit your child’s exposure to media coverage of the event. Children may misinterpret what they hear and can be frightened about something they do not understand.
    • Help your child to have a sense of structure. Once it is safe to return to school or child care, help them return to their regular activity.

Be a role model; take breaks, get plenty of sleep, exercise, and eat well. Connect with your friends and family members and rely on your social support system.

A Note About Freshmen 20-2021 Applications and Interviews

PSRC Early College at RCC is in the process of reviewing applications for Fall 2020 admissions. That process should be complete by March 30th. At that time someone from the school will make contact with all applicants regarding next steps.
If the applicant is chosen for an interview the school will then schedule the interview remotely. Interviews may be conducted using Facetime; Google hangouts, or some other web conferencing platform. It is our expectation that the calls to schedule interviews will begin on or around April 20th at the latest. If your student is not selected for an interview you will be informed at that time.
    Thank you and stay safe!
