The following is an introduction to this course as well as materials needed and grading criteria for the class. All students using the PSRC Internet MUST have an Internet agreement form on file.
This course introduces students to topics related to business, finance, management, and marketing to cover business in the global economy, functions of business organization and
management, marketing basics, and significance of business financial and risk management. English language arts, social studies, and mathematics are reinforced. Work-based learning strategies appropriate for this course include mentorship, school-based enterprise, service learning, and job shadowing. Cooperative education is not available for this course. Apprenticeship is not available for this course. DECA (an association for Marketing Education students) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competitive events,
community service, and leadership activities provide the opportunity to apply essential standards and workplace readiness skills through authentic experiences.(ncpublicshools.org)
Material needed: Composition notebook, pencil and pen,
removable storage device (USB Flash drive) 2GB or larger
Internship/Job Shadowing 10%
Final 25%Students will have 5 days to make up any missed work. Work will not be accepted after this date unless it is in case of an emergency or a death in their family.It is the responsibility of the student to find out what they have missed. It is very important that students keep up with their missing assignments and make them up as soon as possible to eliminate missing deadlines for grades to be submitted.Thank you in advance for your support.
