How do I know what instrument to buy for my child?
When it comes to buying a string instrument there are a ton of options. The easiest and most affordable option may be to go to your local pawn shop, ebay or craigs list. I am all for finding ways to save money, however these are not always practical options.
Your child's instrument should be supportive, useful and of high quality. Unfortunately, there are companies out there who mass produce instruments for very low prices and they are not always functional. Not only are you spending $80 on a violin, but you're going to receive an instrument that won't stay in tune, or may not even work at all.
I have found an extremely helpful article on selecting an instrument for your child and I encourage you to read it before making any purchases! Of course, I am always here for discussing and suggestions as well.
