I am one of 12 children born to Joseph and Lillie. I was born and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina. Some highlights of my career include the following: In 1987, I received my BS in elementary education from UNCP. In 1998, I became Robeson County "Teacher of the Year". In 2005, I earned my National Board Certification in Early Adolescence Mathematics. In 2007, I was selected to join NC Teacher Academy as a Trainer for the module on Proportional Reasoning. I have taught math for 30 years, most of which I have spent at Littlefield Middle School. I am currently Site Director for the Primetime program. I have a great love for the teaching profession and enjoy working with children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, church members and relaxing with CSI. Married to Gilford Sr., we have four wonderful sons, Eric, Travis, Gilford Jr., and Randolph. I also have three lovely daughter-in-laws, Henrietta, married to Travis, Karen, married to Gilford Jr. and Kimberly, married to Randolph. Randolph and Gilford Jr. are serving our country in the armed forces.
