WELCOME TO Ms. Strickland AND Mrs. Baxley's

    KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM!

I have proudly been a DINO-mite Dinosaur for 10 years! I attended RNES as a child and one of my own children was also a student at RNES from Kindergarten through fourth grade.  It has always felt like home.  I attended UNCP where I received my BS in Elementary Education.  Prior to becoming a teacher I worked at Robeson County Public Health Department for 12 years.  It was a very hard decision to leave but I knew in my heart I wanted to teach children in lower grades.  Rowland Norment was my first and ONLY choice when I applied for a teaching position.

I loved teaching first grade (phonics especially) for the past ten years!  Seeing little ones as they passed through our school and, not only grow up, but grow academically has been fulfilling!

That being said, 2019-2020 will bring great changes for me as I enter Kindergarten for the very first time!  I look forward to working with these fresh new students and laying the ground work for them as they go through their school age years.  I am excited to see and work with each student this year and am looking forward to a fun and exciting new chapter for us all!
