Title I Federal Programs

  • IMPROVING THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF THE DISADVANTAGED

This program provides financial assistance to public schools to help ensure that all children meet challenging  academic content and student academic achievement standards.

LEA’s target the Title I funds they receive for schoolwide programs that serve all children in the school. Title I funds are used for children from preschool age to high school, but most of the students served are in grades 1 through 8. Title I funds are used to upgrade the instructional programs for the whole school.
