I am Lachardon Moore, I bring to the Long Branch Preschool classroom, 22 years of experience, learning, creativity, and fun. Working with preschoolers is my passion. I believe that a great preschool experience is the foundation to a successful 12 years of school. I hold an Associates degree in Early Childhood from Robeson Community College and a  Bachelors degree in Birth to Kindergarten from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and I have completed all of the coursework for a Master's in K-6 Reading and Literacy at Walden University.
Deborah Brewer, the wonderful assistant of our class helps me to give our preschoolers a learning experience full of excitement as we provide them with opportunities to engage in lessons that will enhance their cognitive, physical, social/emotional and language development. Mrs. Brewer is currently working toward the Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University.
Our students are screened using the DIAL-4 assessment tool, that targets particular areas of development and we work closely with the students in order to strengthen the challenges that they face in those areas using the Teaching Strategies Gold curriculum.
In our classroom, you will find learning centers that provides age and size appropriate materials that the students have free access to as they explore, learn and create in order grow in all areas of develop. We provide them with opportunities to learn through participating in hands-on activities, educational field trips, and family-oriented projects as we believe that parents/guardians are our students first teachers and together we can open up a new world to the children. We extend an open invitation to our families and community friends to come out and volunteer in our classroom as we provide the students with a positive, everlasting learning experience.
