Teaching is an absolute passion of mine.  I am so excited to work with you and your child this year!  It's going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures.  I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us!  I thought you might want to know a little bit about me.
I've been married to my wonderful husband for 4 years and have lived in the Robeson County area for 4 years.  We have one little one who is 8 months old.  A few of my hobbies are painting, crafts, reading, singing, going to the beach, and of course spending time with family and friends.
I'm coming from Sampson County schools where I taught 4th, 3rd, and Kindergarten.  I'm originally from Fayetteville, but have had the privilege of living in several different areas over the years.  I graduated from Fairmont High School and received my Bachelor's degree from UNC Charlotte with a concentration in Visual and Performing Arts.  I attended Campbell University and received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Academically Gifted (AIG).  I recently accepted a new challenge last year and have begun my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Gardner Webb University.
I'm excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Long Branch!
As an educator, I feel it is my mission to instill a love of learning  in my students.  I attempt to teach with passion, all subject areas so my students have a desire to become life-long learners.  Throughout the school year, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is so very important that we all keep an open line of communication between us, and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need.  I look forward to a wonderful year together!
