Hello All, Returning students will change classes as they would normally. Ninth graders will be in school on days they are assigned until 3:20 when the vans will depart. Tenth graders who attend Mondays and Tuesdays will leave campus on Mondays at 1:30. Tenth graders who attend school on Thursday and Friday will leave campus on Fridays at 1:30. This is because the afternoon college classes they take aren’t taught on Monday and Friday. Juniors, Seniors and Advanced Seniors will be here during the time they have their 1 or 2 high school classes. We have tried to schedule attendance days around the college schedules. If there are any conflicts contact Mrs. Richardson. Graduation packets were mailed on February 1st. Orders will be taken in the student center on March 2nd and March 3rd from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 4:00 pm to 6 pm. Please bring your completed order form along with the $60.00 dollar deposit fee. The deadline for orders is March 14th. There are many scholarship’s available visit our website for details. Click on Explore, Information, Scholarship Information. On campus students may pick up food for 5 days on Tuesday and Friday. Virtual students may visit Lumberton Senior on any day to get their 5 days of food for home.
Hello Sophomores. I have had a call from your Computer Teacher. Many students are behind and are not keeping up with assignments. While it is true that Chromebooks and Macbooks are sometimes difficult in the MS Office environment, your instructor has agreed to open the labs here on campus for you. I have explained to him that we offer transportation for students who need it and that we have hotspots for students who have issues with the Internet. I have asked the instructor to collect names and addresses of students who want to come to the lab and who need hotspots so I can facilitate that for him and for you. Remember that your GPA determines if you are able to complete your Associates Degree or not. Parents have your student log into their Moodle account and show you their grades. Thank you. Dr. Clark
Hello Early College Family. We are excited that our students will have the opportunity to return to in person instruction beginning March first. Beginning Tuesday, February 16th, our teachers will have the students complete a short survey about their choice to return and regarding their need to ride a van or not. Vans will be picking students up at home and returning them home each day. Please have a conversation with your child about this and have them be prepared to complete the survey next week according to your wishes. Survey's will be used to determine which students will attend on Monday and Tuesday and which will attend on Thursday and Friday (teachers will do this to limit the numbers in class each day). Wednesdays will be virtual days. If selected for in person on Monday and Tuesday the student would log in virtually on Thursday and Friday for class. Please remember that Juniors report to school by 8:15 on February 23rd for the ACT. Have a great evening. Dr. Clark
Hello Early College Family. Our system is collecting data via a survey regarding parent wishes as it relates to returning to in person instruction. This data on student and parent preference is critical in helping our Board of Education make a decision on PSRC Re-Entry at its February 9th, 2021 Board Meeting. You may find the survey on our school website, the PSRC Webpage, and our PSRC Facebook page. Please participate in this survey as soon as possible so your voice can be heard regarding this very important matter. We are beginning the 2021-2022 school year acceptance process with virtual interest meetings next Tuesday the 9th and Thursday the 11th. Please help us get the word out and for those parents interested in attending have them contact their child’s middle school counselor. These counselors are collecting names and email addresses so we can send out the invite link. Remember that February 15th is a teacher workday. However, students need to plan on attending their college side classes. Early College students will participate in a remote learning day much like our current Friday’s are. The ACT will be administered on Tuesday February 23rd. All Juniors must take this test. Scoring high enough will satisfy all college entrance requirements. Please be sure to be at school by 8:00 on that day. The vans will be running but your student must let Miss Tara Sinclair know if they need transportation. Thank you. Dr. Clark
Hello, this is a gentle reminder about the possibility of receiving the PEBT Food Card from DSS sometime this summer. In order for our students to qualify the first step is to complete the lunch application found on our web site. Look to the lower left under the word NEWS for the link to the application. Be sure to create an account when you complete the application so you will know if your child qualifies or not. The school will not know if you qualify since financial data is not shared with the school. Have a great weekend. Dr. Clark
Greetings Early College Eagles. Please be mindful of testing next week and the need to be here on time, and to get plenty of rest. Dear Early College Family, we have completed the process of documenting how much each student had paid for last years cancelled Washington DC Trip. We now have had to order more school checks before we can reimburse each student. That is being done today for us. Afterwards the Central Office will send someone out to write those checks since our Bookkeeper is out on sick leave. Afterwards, I will call again with the option of either picking up your check or having us mail it. We appreciate your continued patience as we work through this process while shorthanded. Our next step is to then contact businesses and community members who made donations to determine if they also wish to have refunds. Report cards have been mailed. November 11th is a holiday as is November 25th through the 27th. Registration training for college classes will be next week for 11th - 13th graders. Registration forms will be shared then and will be due the following week. Tenth graders will be placed in their college classes by the administration. Have a great evening.
