The Fairmont High School JROTC program started in 1993 - 1994 school year. The Senior Army Instructor at the time was Lieutenant Colonel Francis Quander. Lieutenant Colonel Francis Quander was the Senior Army Instructor from 1993 through 1999.

By his side was Sergeant Major James Johnson from 1993 through 2001.

Major Boyce Stephens took over as Senior Army Instructor in 1999 through 2010.

In 2001 Sergeant First Class Dexter Clark took over as Assistant Army Instructor and left in 2008.

Lieutenant Colonel James V. Davis took over as the Senior Army Instructor from July 2011 Until February 2016 in the Fairmont JROTC program.

Master Sergeant Ray Drewry became the Assistant Instructor in 2008.
