STEM TECHNOLOGY CLUB

The objective of this club is to give students the understanding and knowledge of various careers in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. It is open to 6th, 7th & 8th graders. This club originated from the vision of Ms. King (teacher) and administration to prepare students for 21st skills for Careers and College.

The Goal of the club is extended beyond skills isolated skills learned from Office Productivity, Business & Marketing/Computer Technology, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies but to provide them to hands-on projects with real-world experiences. Promote collaboration and team building, Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

During the school year, students participate in the

  • NC Future City Competition

  • Girls Who Game

  • First Lego League Learning robotics (Lego) and coding.

  • Participate in STEM Learning Carowinds, Charlotte NC.

We encourage adult mentors to participate in these projects and share their skills and knowledge with our students.
