DRIVER EDUCATION

Driver and Traffic Safety Education involves all those learning experiences provided for the purpose of helping students learn to use motor vehicles safely, efficiently, and effectively. This objective is achieved through sequences of interrelated experiences involving both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. NC Law requires 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. There is a $65 fee that must be paid before taking the class. You can request for a waiver from the guidance office to reduce the cost to $32.50. After completion of both the classroom and the behind the wheel portion, you will need to obtain the eligibility form required to get a permit from the NCDMV. The eligibility form will require a parent to come in and sign for the it. See Coach Register or Mrs. Kim Smith in the NCwise office to get the form. For any questions concerning driver education please contact Coach Register by email (malcolm.register@robeson.k12.nc.us) or by phone (910)671-6050 school.
