PHYSICAL TRAINING

Physical Training

JROTC will schedule some type of physical conditioning activity each week; normally on Fridays. All cadets are expected to participate in these scheduled events. Cadets should bring appropriate attire for physical training--running shoes, shorts, shirts and toiletries for after the work out.

Every semester the cadets participate in the Cadet Challenge, a five-event activity that includes:

  • One mile walk/run

  • Pushups

  • Curlups

  • V-sit and reach

  • Shuttle run

Cadets can earn badges and fitness ribbons by achieving scores in the 50 percentile or 85 percentile.

Other special conditioning exercises are: Bowling, Skating and organized sports.
