VISION STATEMENT
“Pembroke Middle School aspires to educate all students collaboratively so that they may compete successfully in an ever-changing 21st Century.”
History
Pembroke Middle School is located in Robeson county, the largest county in North Carolina. Our school consists of 800 students in grades six through eight. The student population is 90% Native American, 8% African American, and 2% other.
There are 50 dedicated faculty members who bring a diversity to their teaching through their varied educational and geographical backgrounds. Our spacious campus is ideal for outside activities. We enjoy the added benefit of being a mile from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The majority of our Native American students are Lumbee Indians. There are 40,000 Lumbees in the state of North Carolina and most live here in Robeson County. The history of our county reflects our ties to the Lumber River.
