The Public Schools of Robeson County Title VI Indian Education Program is located at the Indian Education Resource Center in Pembroke. The facility houses an art gallery, museum, library, and computer lab that is open for parents and students use.

The Title VI program goals are to increase the graduation rate, increase reading scores, as well as provide cultural enrichment for students, parents, and teachers. We accomplish this by tutorial programs in grades 3-12, monitoring of attendance in grades K-12, schedule events, traditional speakers, clubs for 7-12th grades such as AISES (American Indians Science and Engineering Society), and NASA (Native American Student Association). The program provides opportunities for students to participate in summer camps and conferences that are county, statewide, and national.

Youth Development Specialist (YDS) are employed for each school and serve as the link between students, parents, community agencies, and educators.

Parent committee members are elected from each high school district and serve as an advisory committee for Indian Education.
