My name is Tammie Bailey and I am a Registered Nurse, I have been employed with the Public Schools of Robeson County as a Health Science CTE Teacher at Fairmont High School for the past 6 years (I also graduated from FHS). My nursing experience includes: working as a Critical Care nurse in ICU for 13 years. I have a husband and 2 children, my son graduated in 2020 and a daughter that's currently a Junior at FHS. I also graduated from RCC in 2004 for Criminal Justice, received my Nursing Degree from Bladen Community College in 2009, and finished at the University of Phoenix in 2019 for my teaching licenses. Helping people has always been a passion of mine and being able to help young people learn about and fulfill their dreams of becoming a nurse or healthcare professional is an amazing feeling and so rewarding. I love my job as a teacher/CNA Instructor, I get the best of both worlds teaching and taking care of the patients at the Nursing home. Some of my greatest contributions and accomplishments are the students that I've taught that are now Certified Nursing Assistants, Nurses/Nursing Students and EMTs. Having had a part is their educational journey/career and inspiring them is why I love this career.
