PSRC has released more information about its partnership with the North Carolina School of Science and Math including course information and progress.

"We are pleased to announce that the Public Schools of Robeson County officially began its partnership with the North Carolina School of Science and Math beginning this spring of 2023 with 5 students enrolled in the NCSSM Connect Scholars program," said Andrew Davis, director of Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability at PSRC.

"This fall we have already had 20 students registered for the program. One of the reasons we choose to partner with the School of Science and Math is to offer more rigorous advanced-level courses," he said.

Pathways offered include Mathematical Studies, Computer Science/Computational Thinking, Cultural Studies/Social Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences and Health Sciences.

Most of the courses are semester-long, while some Advanced Placement courses do run all year. Courses are offered in 70-minute blocks throughout the school day. NCSSM will accommodate PSRC school calendars.

The last day to register for Fall 2023 classes is August 7, 2023. Students can also complete Spring registration as early as today.
