ROBESON COUNTY — Multiple PSRC schools will welcome new assistant principals in the 2025-2026 academic year as a result of recent approvals by the PSRC Board of Education.
Multiple personnel positions were approved during the closed-door session of the June 10, 2025 Public Schools of Robeson County Board of Education meeting including assistant principal positions.
Fairmont High School
Nicolette Hunt will serve as an assistant principal at Fairmont High School. She served most recently as an academic coach at Fairgrove Elementary School.
L. Gilbert Carroll Middle School
Gwendolyn Rogers will serve in the assistant principal role at L.Gilbert Carroll Middle School. Rogers most recently served in the assistant principal role at Rowland-Norment Elementary School.
Littlefield Middle School
Tasha Locklear will step into an assistant principal position at Littlefield Middle School. She served most recently in the assistant principal role at St. Pauls Elementary School.
Lumberton High School
Tara Lewis will take on an assistant principal role at Lumberton High School. She will transition into the role after previously serving as a lead teacher at the school.
Pembroke Middle School
Stephen Strickland will take his place as an assistant principal at Pembroke Middle School. He will transition into the leadership position from his recent role as a classroom teacher at Union Chapel Elementary School.
Lakeshia Revels also will serve as an assistant principal at the school. She most recently served as assistant principal at W.H. Knuckles Elementary School.
Peterson Elementary School
Lateia Kelly will serve as assistant principal at Peterson Elementary. Kelly most recently served as an academic coach at Fairmont Middle School.
Purnell Swett High School
Billy Haggans will take on an assistant principal position at Purnell Swett High School. He was previously employed as an administrator with CIS Academy.
Rowland-Norment Elementary School
Terrance Curry will serve as assistant principal at Rowland-Norment Elementary School. Curry previously served as a social worker at South Robeson Middle School.
St. Pauls Elementary School
Carlena Platt Smith will step into the assistant principal role at St. Pauls Elementary School. She previously served as an assistant principal at Littlefield Middle School.
St. Pauls High School
Jordan Strickland will serve as an assistant principal and athletic director at St. Pauls High School. Strickland most recently served as an assistant principal and athletic director at St. Pauls Middle School.
St. Pauls Middle School
Charles Johnson will serve as an assistant principal at St. Pauls Middle School. He previously served as a math educator at St. Pauls High School.
W.H. Knuckles Elementary School
Sherry Hays will step into the assistant principal position at W. H. Knuckles Elementary School. Hays most recently served as an academic coach at Littlefield Middle School.
