Attention Parents/Guardians of Current 11th Grade Students: As your child prepares to become a senior for the upcoming school year, please be reminded that all rising seniors are required by state law to provide proof of up-to-date immunizations, specifically the second dose/booster of the meningococcal vaccine. Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule this vaccination. Appointments can be difficult to obtain in August, so we strongly encourage families to take care of this requirement as soon as possible over the Summer. Students who do not provide proof of the required vaccine within the first 30 days of the new school year may be excluded from attending school until documentation is received per state law. ALL seniors will be required to show proof of immunization compliance. If you have any questions, please contact the school nurse. Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Good evening, Purnell Swett seniors and parents, This Friday, May 22, is Senior Day! The event will be held at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center in Maxton, NC. Please note that seniors will not be permitted to drive to the event. Transportation will be provided by bus, and students must ride the bus in order to attend. Food and drinks will be provided, so outside drinks and bottles will not be allowed. To participate in the water slide activities, students must turn in their permission slip and waiver by Thursday, May 21. We ask that students bring towels and, if possible, place their belongings in a clear bag. Students will also have the opportunity to fish and may bring one fishing pole per person. However, please make sure no hooks are attached to the poles until arrival at the Cultural Center. There will be water slides, fishing, basketball, food, entertainment from DJ Gizmo, refreshments from The Grand Sip, door prizes, and much more! Seniors, come out and enjoy a day filled with fun, food, and memories as we celebrate the Class of 2026 and recognize all of your hard work and accomplishments.
