Parents,
Just another reminder that Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Monday December 11th from 5:30---7:00pm. Progress Reports went home this week so please come out and talk with teachers. As an incentive students will receive a one-day attendance credit if their parents come to visit teachers. Ms. Destiny Hancock our parent liaison will be here to pass out the form. So, please come out and take part in your child’s education.
Thanks and Have a Good Night.

Parents I’m sure you have noticed that traffic after school has changed and will continue to change until further notice. Our buses will have to leave from the front due to upcoming campus construction. The middle gate at the student parking is an exit not an entrance. People entering this gate creates a traffic jam within the parking lot. With the shortage of bus drivers, the number of car riders has drastically increased so if you know some bus drivers send them our way. Please bear with us as we try to maneuver people on and off campus in the safest possible way. I continue to caution parents that picking up children at the store next store is not the best or safest way. Also, you should not park along side the road and expect student’s to come through traffic and walk to the road. We will turn them around so please do not put them in a predicament.
Thanks and Have a Good Night

Parents,
This is a reminder that school will release early at 1:00pm tomorrow Thursday December 7th for the Pembroke Christmas Parade. Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up. Also, parents you are invited to school Monday December 11th for parent/teacher conferences from 5:30pm---7:00pm. Progress reports are being sent home this week in preparation for the conferences on Monday. Thanks,

This is a message to inform you that a safety exercise will take place at school tomorrow Wednesday December 6th. We will conduct a lockdown drill as our ongoing commitment to maintain a safe and secure learning environment. Please do not be alarmed this is only a drill. Parents please discuss the importance of these drills and encourage your child to take this drill serious. We will send a text to parents as to when the drill begins and ends. Everyone should avoid calling and coming to the school during the drill. We understand that the idea of a lockdown is scary but it’s critical to ensure that our school is safe. If you have any questions and concerns please feel free to call.

Lastly during our junior and senior parent night, Ms Towns will be there to answer any questions and assist seniors in reaching their post-graduate goals. Parents,
Students can’t learn if they are absent from school. School board policy states students can’t have more than five unexcused absences per semester. To make up missing time from school students must attend LC and SS. Making up days is not an option for anyone. If a student is passing and missed too many days, they will receive a grade of 51. Students may receive their passing grade by attending the correct number of LC and SS. This is an initiative to get students to come to school every day. If students can’t make it to school, they need to bring a note and put it in the drop box by the front office. For more information students can talk with their teachers or counselor.
