I want to take this opportunity to say our first day was an awesome day. I thank everyone for a job well done. In saying that, there are a couple things that I need help with. Today students were given a hot pink chrome book sheet for parents to fill out and sign. Students will not receive a chrome book without a parent signature. We look forward to seeing everyone in the morning, bright eyed and ready to learn. All ninth graders will report to the cafeteria immediately upon arriving on campus. Also, ninth-grade homeroom teachers will meet in the cafeteria. Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth grades will go straight to homeroom. Homeroom are the same as last year. Parents, bus 385 and 393 will not be operating in the morning so please bring your child to school. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. I look forward to seeing you in the morning.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow Thursday August 22nd from 1:00----6:00 pm during open house. During this time, we will be selling parking permits for $25.00. Along with $25, students will need their registration card and driver’s license. Additionally, any senior that has early release on their schedule may go to the media center to take a picture for their early release ID card. Last but mostly importantly there will not be any schedule changes taking place during open house. For the first days of homeroom, Student may request a schedule change.
Correction:
Teachers, I know you have been anxiously awaiting to get started in preparing your classrooms and it is with great regret that I inform you that unless something changes you can not be in the school building until Monday August 19th. Once again please do not come to the school expecting to work in your classrooms. You will have to wait until next week to complete your room.

The only schedules being changed are those with errors or those requiring a change for graduation purposes. So please do not waste time trying to get schedules changed to match a friend. Also, seniors wanting to graduate early or wanting early release must bring a parent to sign and complete all required documents. Please visit our Purnell Swett High School Facebook page to view the tryout schedule for all fall sports that begin tomorrow Wednesday July 31st. There you will be able to see tryout times and locations along with the respective head coaches. Also, to participate in tryouts all athletes must have completed the required planeths forms. Student athletes need not show up for tryout if these forms have not be completed. There are no exceptions.

The ceremony will begin promptly at 9:00 am. All seniors should be on campus for lineup at 7:00am and guests may enter the main commons at 7:30am. To ensure graduation begins on time, doors will close permanently at 8:45 am. Once again, if you are not here by 8:45am you will not be allowed to enter the building. If you are entering the school from the Pembroke area, you will park in the student parking lot. If you are entering the school from the Prospect/Maxton area, you will park in the bus parking lot. Handicap parking will be available in the staff parking lot. JROTC cadets will be directing traffic. Seniors are not allowed to wear hunting boots, crocs, tennis shoes, or jeans.
