This week, March 3-9, 2024, has been designated as Severe Weather Preparedness Week in the state of North Carolina.
Public Schools in Robeson County will participate in the North Carolina Statewide Tornado Drill scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, March 6, at 9:30 a.m.
North Carolina is an active tornado and severe thunderstorm state, and these weather events can occur quickly with little notice. This week is an excellent time to review your existing emergency plans with your family and practice tornado drills at home.

Have you completed your FAFSA? Our college advisor Ms. Towns would like to express that each student should submit their financial aid application as early as possible, before the priority date March 1st. The FAFSA helps students know how much money they could get to help them pay for college by providing grants, work-study, student loans, or scholarships. Receiving these College grants = money you don't have to repay! File the FAFSA today and see what grants your student qualifies for! Contact the college advisor if you need any assistance.

This Friday March 1st we will have our class of 2025 Ring Ceremony in our main gym. It will begin at 10 AM. We are excited to celebrate this time with those involved.

11th grade students will take the ACT Tomorrow, February 27th at 8:00 am. It is important that all juniors report to school on time and ready to test. The ACT is a college entrance exam and is given to all juniors free of charge. All students will report to homeroom until testing is complete.

As you know we will be giving the ACT Test tomorrow; therefore, students can't be signed out. Do not come asking to sign your child out as we are trying to protect the testing environment. If you would like to purchase a senior recognition page please email the photos to olivia.deese@robeson.k12.nc.us with the subject "Senior Yearbook Page" by Friday March 1. In the email include the students name and message exactly how you want it to appear in the yearbook. A full page will cost $150 and a half page is $75. This must be paid in cash or a check made out to Purnell Swett High School.
