This is a message from PSHS, Parents, We are currently preparing for Summer School which is Credit Recovery & Enrichment for our high school students. Only core courses may be recovered this summer which include English, Math, Science and Social Studies. The criteria for students to participate in Credit Recovery this summer is as follows: • Students must have less than 20 unexcused absences for the semester, or • Students with more than 20 unexcused absences for the semester must have attended Learning Centers or Saturday Academy in an attempt to make up those days. If a student does not satisfy these requirements, they will not be allowed to participate in Credit Recovery. So, parents if you want your child to be eligible for summer school, they must be attending Learning Centers and Saturday School to make up any unexcused absence. In addition, a second graduation ceremony will not be held for the 2021-22 school year. If students do not fulfill their requirements prior to June 10, 2022, they will not have the opportunity to participate in a graduation ceremony but may receive their diploma at the end of summer school if they qualified to attend. Thanks and Have a Great Day

Parents, This morning students reported someone pointing a gun at them from the student parking. After a thorough investigation by the schools' resource officers, it was determined the gun was not real. However, the situation created a panic and is currently being dealt with using the same guidelines as if the gun was real. Parents, please educate your children about the dangers of bringing real and toy guns on school grounds. PSHS works hard to provide a safe school environment that is conducive to learning.

Parents, As you know, we have begun a new semester and some changes have been made. First, students will not be allowed to attend google meets unless that have been approved for virtual, quarantined or tested positive. All virtual students must be approved by Central Office and not the school. Students just can’t stay home and join google meets. Also, assignments will not remain open for the entire nine weeks. Assignments will close and lock according to the timeline given to them by their teachers. When students are absent, they will be allowed to make up assignments. After five unexcused absences, students must attend learning centers and Saturday school. Parents, please report any exposures and positive results to the school as soon as possible leaving the parent’s name, student’s name and contact information. You will be contacted in some form or fashion. I appreciate your patience and understanding during this hectic time. Thanks and Have a Great Night

This is a message from PSHS Parents Any student that missed their EOC exam which is Biology, English II, Math I and Math III can make it up tomorrow morning Thursday January 20th. Also, during this time students can make up their VOCATS exam. If students do not make up exams they will receive a zero and that zero counts as 25% of their final grade. Therefore, it is important to take all exams. Just a reminder parents that students can not be signed out during testing. Testing is over at 1:30 so please don’t come or call to the school asking for your child to be signed out. Thank and Have a Great Evening
