The final bell has rung and the hallways are much quieter, so we wanted to take a moment to say two simple words: thank you!
You gave your all this year - your time, your energy, your patience, your heart. You showed up on the hard days, you celebrated the little victories, you kept going when no one was watching. And now...it’s time to rest.
Summer break isn’t just a break - it’s a reset. It’s a chance to catch your breath, to rediscover what makes you smile, and to put yourself back on your own to-do list.
So here’s your permission slip to:
~ Sleep in without setting an alarm.
~ Read a book with zero educational value (unless you want to).
~ Go outside. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Do nothing and feel no guilt.
~ Take care of yourself - mind, body, and spirit.
Remember, rest is not a reward - it’s a requirement.
You’ve been pouring into others all year long. Let this summer be about pouring back into yourself.
We’ll be here when you return - hopefully a little more sun-kissed, well-rested, and with sand still in your shoes.
Until then, be kind to yourself and take the time you so deeply deserve.
Wishing you peace, joy, and true rest this summer.
With gratitude,
PSRC District Mental Health Team
