CIRCULATION POLICIES

Circulation is available daily each morning for students.

During scheduled class circulation (bi-monthly with ELA teacher) the student may checkout two books, with a two week due date. Hopefully student media accounts will be cleared each nine weeks to check out additional resources. A book fine of .05 cents per day is charged for each day late after due date, $5.00 max on each book. This process will teach the student a lifelong skill about responsibility and their obligation to return book timely. Fees will not accumulate the days the media center/school is closed (holidays, workdays, week ends, etc.). ELA teachers will receive Notice of Overdue Books and Unpaid Fines Report electronically. Students will be given a copy of Notices to take home to parents.

ELA teachers will collect and return student library books to Media Center for check in if unable to attend on scheduled circulation date.

Circulation is bi-monthly and students are allowed to visit daily with teacher pass and are made aware of overdue materials and unpaid fines. Morning circulation is 7:30-8:00, students may checkout books, return books, do research, take Accelerated Reader quizzes, and print documents.

Notices will be sent home with the student's. Students are responsible for clearing their media accounts yearly as these outstanding obligations are forwarded to the high school when enrolled.
