🌺 Aloha! What a magical evening at FMS 2026 Hawaiian Island Prom! Our students arrived dressed to impress and danced under the stars in our own little slice of paradise. 🌴✨ From the moment they stepped onto the dance floor, the energy was absolutely electric—laughter, twirling, and pure joy filled the air. 🎉💫 We're so grateful to have witnessed these incredible young people celebrating this special milestone together. Here's to the memories they'll treasure from A Night in Paradise at Fairmont Middle School! 🌊🎊

What a wonderful evening at the 2026 Public Schools of Robeson County Awards Ceremony! 🎉 Our Fairmont Middle School family had so much to celebrate. We are thrilled to recognize Mrs. Stacy Robinson-Chambers as our 2026-2027 Fairmont Middle School Teacher of the Year 🌟 and Mrs. Denise Hunt as our 2026-2027 Fairmont Middle School Teacher Assistant of the Year 👏. Their dedication and passion for our students shine through every single day. Dr. Vivian Tyndall was also honored with a special plaque recognizing her outstanding service to PSRC as she embarks on this exciting new chapter of retirement at the close of this school year🎊. These incredible educators have made such a meaningful impact on our school community, and we are so grateful for everything they do. Congratulations to all three of you! 💛

What a heartwarming reminder that our community truly has our backs! 💙 Last week, our wonderful neighbors at Trinity Methodist Church weren't feeling their best and had to miss our Teacher Appreciation Week celebrations. But this week, feeling refreshed and ready to spread some joy, they showed up on Wednesday with a delicious breakfast spread for our entire staff! 🥐☕ It's moments like these that make our hearts so full—when people go out of their way to show they care, even after they've been under the weather themselves. We are genuinely blessed to be part of such a thoughtful and supportive community. Thank you, Trinity Methodist Church, for reminding us what it means to lift each other up! 🙏✨

Wednesday, June 3, 2026 - EOC Testing begins in regular setting for 8th Grade NC Math 1

Some students with specialized testing plans may begin EOG testing as early as May 21st, 2026.

Please also note that Friday, May 15, 2026 is a regular school day for students and staff.

Hello Fairmont Middle School Families!

As we approach the end of the year, we are putting on our calendars the dates for our end of year testing. Please be sure to look at these dates and ensure that your students are well rested, ready, and on time for school on the testing days. Testing on these days will last a minimum of two hours from the time it begins; we cannot interrupt testing to pull a child from class.
Please adjust any appointments that students may have if possible so the appointments will not interfere with testing. Students typically do best on the test if they are at school on the regular testing days and do not have to take the test as a "make up" test, please help our students have the best testing experience possible!

Testing Dates are currently scheduled as follows:
5/27/26 - Math EOG for grades 5-7
5/29/26 - Reading EOG for grades 5-8
6/2/26 - Science EOG for grades 5 & 8
6/3/26 - NC Math 1 EOC for 8th Grade

Get ready to celebrate! 🎉 We're thrilled to invite you to our awards day program where we'll honor the incredible accomplishments and hard work of our students this year.

Join us Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 in the gymnasium! 🏫 Fifth graders, your ceremony kicks off at 8:30 am, while sixth and seventh graders will celebrate at 10:00 am.

We hope that all students and honored guests will come dressed for success as we recognize the amazing achievements of our Fairmont Middle School students. This is going to be a wonderful morning filled with pride and celebration! ✨

Teacher Appreciation Week was absolutely wonderful, and we have to give a huge shout-out to our incredible PTO! 🎉 Ms. Baldwin, Mrs. Tia, Mr. David, and the entire PTO team went above and beyond to celebrate our staff. From sponsoring a delicious lunch 🍽️ to providing special t-shirts on Friday 👕, they showed up in the biggest way possible. We are so grateful for their generosity and support — our school truly shines because of people like them! ✨

🎓 A huge congratulations to Mrs. Hayes, our wonderful school data manager, who just graduated from UNC-Pembroke with her Bachelor's degree in Sociology! 🌟 But wait, there's more—she's already diving into her Master's in Social Work! 📚✨ Talk about dedication and passion for learning. We are so proud to have someone on our team who continues to grow, challenge herself, and invest in her future. Mrs. Hayes, you inspire us all! 🎉

What a fabulous Friday! 🎉 Our final day of teacher raffle prizes brought smiles all around, and we're overflowing with gratitude for the amazing local sponsors who made it happen. 🙌

Oliver Oil Company came through with three $35 gas certificates plus a propane tank and fill-up—talk about keeping things running smoothly! 🛢️ Farmer's Furniture surprised us with a Mini Personal Fridge Cooler, perfect for those quick snack breaks. ❄️ Advance Auto Parts showed up with two car care buckets to keep vehicles looking sharp, and the Fairmont Chamber of Commerce gifted a delicious certificate to Mi Gallo Giro Mexican Restaurant. 🌮 Divine Treasures filled a whole bag with goodies 🎁, and Mr. Charles Townsend at Car Wash of Fairmont donated an Ultimate Car Wash experience. 🚗✨

A heartfelt thank you to the Women of Baltimore Baptist Church, led by the wonderful Mrs. Lana Bass, for bringing us delicious sausage biscuits, fresh juices, and sweet treats like doughnuts and cookies that will keep everyone smiling all day long! 🙏✨

What a week of celebration! 🎉 Our afternoon raffle has been spreading smiles and gratitude throughout the school, and we're absolutely loving it!
