Lumberton Jr. High School had the pleasure of welcoming 5th graders from Carroll Middle School! Dr. Watson kicked off the day with an informative presentation, and our amazing student ambassadors were on hand to greet the future Vikings and provide brochures with helpful tidbits to review and share with their families. The student-led tour gave them a full look at our entire school and showcased all the exciting things coming up for the next school year. We can’t wait to see these 5th graders become a part of our Lumberton Jr. High School family! #FutureVikings #LumbertonJrHigh #VikingPride

Thanks to the NC department of natural and cultural resources, all the 8th grade ML students went to Fort Fisher Aquarium on April 4th where they had an exciting tour inside the aquarium. They could see and know more information about marine animals in a realistic setting. The tour was really engaging and it promoted students to use their English Language to describe what they saw inside the aquarium. They also attended an interactive show about dolphins and whales which provided them with a hands-on experience through which they could make connections to what they learn inside their science and ESL classes. As a result, students could relate what they learnt inside their classes to the real world they live in. They also developed a good understanding of North Carolina's natural resources. After that, students had lunch in one of the restaurants in Wilmington. We were thrilled to see how excited and engaged they were.
We are incredibly grateful as this was all made possible by North Carolina's Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
Ms Amany Kasab applied for and was awarded a grant to make this amazing experience happen.
Thank you NC Department of Natural Resources

Parents and students, please be advised that Check-In #3 will begin on April 10.
