Congratulations to out to our very own Battle of the Books team! They won 3rd Place in the district competition. Battle of the Books is a competition in which the students are asked to read 20 books and answer questions from the books. In the answer, the students must state the title of the book and the author. Their advisor is Mrs. Doshie Kirkwood. We are Viking Proud!

We are collecting money for a worthy cause; a program called, Kidz in Lids along with the Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas, helps all students diagnosed with cancer get to lifesaving treatment no matter how often, or how far. So Tuesday, March 5th , bring one dollar to give to your homeroom teacher, wear your favorite hat and support a worthy cause. Thank you.
LJHS Students will receive the State-Wide Tornado Drill parent letter letter on Friday, March 1st. The State-Wide Tornado Drill will occur on Wednesday, March 6th at 9:30am. We have the parent letters translated in Spanish, Arabic and French Creole. Thank you.
