Dear Parents/Guardians, North Carolina Law requires all students entering 7th grade to receive a meningococcal vaccine and a tdap vaccine. You have 30 calendar days from the first day of school to provide proof of these required immunizations. The 30th calendar day is September 25. Please call your healthcare provider to arrange an appointment if your child has not already received the immunizations. Remember that if proof is not presented, your child will not be allowed to attend school after September 25th as required by law. If you have any further questions please contact your school nurse.

Second, due to a significant change in the testing mode for the PreACT at the high schools, PSRC is pushing the Check-In Test #1 to October 21 - 25, 2024. Good afternoon, Viking family. Tomorrow we will have Summer Testing for EOG Math, Reading and 8th grade Science as well as Math 1 EOC. Students can still come to receive remediation and test on Thursday. Summer Testing begins at 8:30am and ends at 12pm. Breakfast, lunch and bus transportation is provided. Thank you.
Good evening, your child might have received a permission form from one of their teachers inviting them to Summer Testing this week, June 11-13. Students who have turned in their signed permission forms will recieve remediation on Tuesday and must be in attendance on this day in order to be eligible to take their EOG tests on Wednesday & Thursday. Bus riders must be at their district-assigned bus stop by 7:15 AM and will arrive to school by 8:30 AM. Breakfast and launch will be provided and dismissal is at 12 PM. Students may turn in signed permission forms tomorrow morning. Thank you.
Good evening, Viking parents. If your child was not proficient on any of the EOG tests, he or she may have received a letter and a permission form to attend summer testing next week on June 11th through 14th. Students will receive remediation on Tuesday and testing days are Wednesday-Friday.
Students must attend remediation on Tuesday in order to participate on Testing Days. Bus transportation, breakfast and lunch will be provided, and the times for each day is 8:30 AM to 12 PM. Thank you.
Good evening Viking Family, this is a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, June 7th, is the last day of school for students and it is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 12pm and will receive their report cards. Report cards will be mailed out to students who are absent. Greetings Viking Family, this week we will be administering the End-of Grade tests for Reading, Math and 8th grade Science to all students with the exception of the Multilingual students who will be tested next week. Students were given EOG Parent letters last week and a copy of the letter as well as the EOG Test Schedule has been posted on our school website and Facebook page. Thank you.
Greetings Viking Family, If you are attending the Athletic Awards tomorrow, May 23rd at 9:30am, please park in the back of the school by the buses. Walk under the breezeway and enter through the gym / auditorium doors. Also, join us for a Pre-Memorial Day Observance tomorrow morning at 8am at the flag post located at the front of the school. Anyone can attend as we observe those who served in the Armed Forces. Thank you.
