Parents and Students
Please listen carefully as there are several bits of information we need to discuss.
First, students will not be allowed on campus before 7:30. Teachers do not report to work until 7:40; therefore, supervision will not be available. Parents rest assure this is not our first rodeo with opening school. We got this!! All students will get a copy of their schedule Monday morning during homeroom. Posters will be displayed throughout the school Monday morning allowing students to find out who their homeroom teacher is and what room they need to report to. Tell your child to find an adult if they can’t figure out what to do.
Students may request a schedule change Monday morning during homeroom. Also, note that just because a student submits a schedule change doesn’t mean it will be changed. Our enrollment is up and there is little room to make changes. Schedule changes is a process and not an event; basically saying it takes time so be patient as we work diligently toward another school year.
No visitors are allowed to go beyond the front office so please don’t come expecting or demanding to meet with guidance counselor unless you are enrolling or withdrawing a student. If parents want to discuss a child’s schedule they must email or call the guidance department at 910-474-0223. Once again if you show up about a schedule change next week you will be asked to leave
Finally, no one can be in the school building beyond the front office except Public Schools of Robeson County employees. We still have to follow protocol in an effort to stay safe so please do not come expecting to walk the halls or visit teachers. This procedure will be in effect the remainder of the school year.
Thanks and Have a Great Day

Please listen carefully as there are several bits of information we need to discuss.
First, we realize that many students didn’t get to see their schedule today during OPEN HOUSE; due to issues beyond our control; however, rest assure all students will get a copy of their schedule Monday morning during homeroom. Posters will be displayed throughout the school Monday morning allowing students to find out who their homeroom teacher is and what room they need to go to. Tell your child to find an adult if they can’t figure out what to do.
The Guidance Department will close tomorrow Friday August 20, 2021 at 12:00 noon. This is an effort to get ready for students next week. They will only be processing enrollments and withdrawals up to that time. There will not be any schedule changes tomorrow at all so please do not call or come to the school asking for schedule changes. Students may request a schedule change Monday morning during homeroom. Parents and Students,
As you know OPEN HOUSE is tomorrow Thursday August 19, 2021 from 1:00----6:00pm. During this timeframe you may log into PowerSchool to see your schedule. If for any reason you don’t remember your password just know a schedule will be provided Monday morning during homeroom; however, I am working with our district PowerSchool manager to find a generic way that you can change your password in PowerSchool to see your schedule tomorrow. So, please for another email tomorrow if you don’t remember your password. Also, you got to know your student ID number.
Finally, a virtual tour of the school is available on the school webpage if you need a glimpse of what PSHS looks like.
I look forward to seeing you Monday morning...

Parents,
Any student that did not take their Math I, Biology, English II EOC last must do so this week in an effort to pass their grade. If students fail to take their exam they may not pass their grade level and may not be able to attend summer school for credit recovery. It is imperative parents that you make sure your child takes their exams. This is of the utmost importance.
Thanks and Have a Great Night

This is a message to remind you that Spring EOC and CTE Testing is scheduled for next week beginning Monday May 24th ------ Thursday May 27th. Students currently enrolled in an EOC or CTE class should be present to take their exam. All EOC and CTE courses are listed on the school webpage, Facebook, and I personally emailed all students. Any student failing to take an exam will receive a zero for the exam grade which counts for 25% of their final grade. First and foremost, any student experiencing any COVID19 symptoms should stay home. We will contact you at a later date for testing. School personnel will be outside to take temperatures before students are allowed to enter the school building. Students having a temperature above 99.9 must leave campus. All students must report to the gym to find out what classroom they will test in. Students will not be permitted to walk around the school building for safety purposes. This will be enforced and any student not following directions will be dismissed from school premises immediately. So parents get ready because we will be calling you if your child doesn’t want to follow the rules and procedures. Safety comes first so you need to stress this at home. Drop off for car riders and bus riders begins at 7:30am. However, buses begin pickup at approximately 6:05am give or take a few minutes. Parents with the proper ID are only allowed to pick up students when an entire class is finished testing. Students that drive to school may leave once everyone in their class is finished. There are no exceptions to this procedure. All information can be found on the school webpage, Facebook and student’s email.

Parents,
Students began taking their final exams today and will continue until Thursday. Students took first period today and will take second period Tuesday, third period Wednesday and fourth period Thursday. Friday will be a Remote Learning day instead of Wednesday. All exams this week are teacher made and online; however, the weight of these exams are the same as the federal/state exams next week. Students are required to attend all class periods whether virtual or face2face for review and attendance purposes. All this information has been provided to students during class, on social media and via email; so, they should know what to do. This week parents should not be picking students up in an effort to review for next day testing.
Next week May 24th---27th, students will take their EOC and VOCATS tests on campus. Temperatures will be taken outside then students will go the main gym for further directions. Students will not be able to leave school until the entire class is finished testing. Anyone picking up a student should have a valid ID and be on the child’s pickup list. No phone calls will be accepted for pickups.
Additionally, any student that failed a class this year is required to attend summer school. Credit Recovery is being offered in June and July. Summer School will allow students to catch up on their credits so they can be in the correct grade next year. So, parents you should know whether your child failed a class and if so make them come to summer school.
Thanks and Have a Great Day
