This is a message from PSHS
Parents,
Purnell Swett High School will host it’s annual Freshman Transition meeting tomorrow Tuesday August 15th beginning sharp at 5:00pm in the main gym. It is imperative that everyone is on time. To maximize the amount of space within classrooms, I ask that we limit the amount of participants to 3 per family. I will speak with everyone briefly then break into 12 groups to discuss information pertinent to the success of your child while attending Purnell Swett High School. We look forward to seeing you.
Thanks and Have a Great Day
Parents and Students,
At this time class schedules can be viewed in PowerSchool. Hopefully everyone likes their schedule; however, if you would like to request a schedule change, you can come to the school to meet with a counselor or you can fill out the google form sent to you in an email.
Counselors will be at school beginning Monday August 7th through Wednesday August 9th from 8:00 am until12:00 noon. Please know that counselors will do their best to accommodate class change requests; however, circumstances may simply not allow changes to take place. This will be the only time schedules can be changed. You will not be able to request a change to your schedule after Wednesday August 9th .
Also, seniors must come out this week to apply for Early Graduation and Early dismissal. Parents must be present to sign applications. To apply for early dismissal, a recent pay stub or letter from the employer with the employer's name and phone number needs to be submitted with the application. Seniors wanting to early graduate must have at least 24 credits to apply.
Finally, Robeson Community College will be on campus only on Tuesday August 8th from 8am - 3pm for students to register for CCP courses. CCP courses are for current 11th and 12th grade students who have at least an unweighted GPA of 2.8.
Thanks and have a great day
