Make and Take Art session that will be held this Saturday at “The Stage” in Fairmont! It is for all students ages 7-9.

This week RES is celebrating our OUTSTANDING School Counselor, Mrs. Tracy Locklear! RES appreciates everything that you do and will continue to do for our school, staff, families, community, and students.



As RES continues to celebrate African American culture, we are asking that our staff and students participate in the following activities:
Fri. Feb 11- Wear colors of the African Flag- red, black or green with jeans
Wed. Feb. 16- Wear African Kente Attire- Dress to Impress
Wed. Feb 23- Dress up as an inventor, scientist, writer, athlete, actor, or musician


What's happening this week at RES? Students can still purchase Candy Grams until Feb. 8th. Be sure to Dress to Impress- WOW- Wednesday- Feb. 9. Save the date for Awards Night- Wednesday Feb. 9. We will be celebrating Mrs. Tracy Locklear for National School Counselor Week-Feb. 7-11 and After School Tutoring will continue- Tuesday-Feb. 8 and Thursday- Feb. 10!

Remember that attendance matters- January's Attendance Celebration will be Hot Cocoa and a movie.

A few reminders as we move through the week at RES! There will be NO After School Tutoring this week. Wednesday, Jan. 12- Wear Your Best, No School on Monday, January 17, 2022 as we honor Dr. King. Remember that education and character matter! As we celebrate Dr. King on Monday, January 17, 2022 let's take a moment to reflect on his beliefs . Rosenwald Elementary will host their Virtual Christmas Presentation- "A Hip-Hop Christmas" on Thursday, December 9,2021. Students should dress up in Christmas colors, shirts, or sweaters, reindeer antlers, or a Santa Hat. 4th grade students are to bring jingle bells for their performance. This presentation will be posted on our school's Facebook page, Wednesday, December 15, 2021.


Our Virtual PTO Meeting will be held on November 16, 2021. Please feel free to join us!
