It is always a great thing to see our students leave SPMS and go on to do good things at the high school.
This year, the SPHS had a very successful season and several of our former SPMS Bulldogs were a big part of that. This season saw the team win the conference championship for the first time since 2010.
Senior Savanna Lowery (setter and right side hitter) was selected as the Three Rivers conference Player of the year. She was also selected as the Robeson County Player of the Year. Senior Kayley Carter, defense specialist, and was selected as honorable mention all conference and honorable mention all county. Kayley plans to enlist in the United States Air Force.
Jasmine Gaspar Acosta, middle hitter and right side hitter, was selected as honorable mention all conference and honorable mention all county. Jasmine led the team in blocks this season. Jasmine is in the top of her class and plans to attend either Campbell or Methodist University.
Sophomore Saniya Baldwin made her Varsity debut this year as the team libero. Saniya was selected as all conference and all county this season.
Freshman Tyasia Baldwin shook things up as a freshman middle hitter on the varsity team. Tyasia was selected as honorable mention all conference and as first team All county.
Junior Halie Allen was a part of this successful group as a team setter.
Freshman Katherin Lowery was pulled up to the varsity team following the Christmas break.
Freshman Keniah Baldwin was pulled up to varsity for the team's state playoff season.
SPMS is excited to see our Bulldogs being successful and becoming positive influences at the high school level. We look forward to continued years of success. Several of our SPMS Bulldogs are currently doing great things with the men and women's basketball teams. Can't wait to update you on their successes this season
