Dear Public Schools of Robeson County Parents and Guardians, The North Carolina EOG/EOC System is managed by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. While testing this morning, the state experienced a server outage, causing a disruption to testing sites statewide. The outage lasted approximately 40 minutes. Quick corrective action restored the system, allowing around 120,000 students across the state to resume testing. As a result, our students were able to complete their EOG or EOC tests administered today. Our district intends to appeal to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction on behalf of our students. In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in our School Year ReAdministration on June 4 and June 5, 2025, if they are not proficient. Proficiency is scoring a Level 3, 4 or 5. Important Update: PSRC to Transition from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus PSRC May 28, 2025 Dear Parents and Guardians, We would like to inform you about an important change taking place in the Public Schools of Robeson County. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is transitioning from the current student information system (SIS), PowerSchool, to a new platform called Infinite Campus. This is a statewide initiative aimed at enhancing the way schools manage student information and communicate with families. The Public Schools of Robeson County is participating in Phase Two of this transition, joining a growing number of districts across North Carolina in adopting this more modern and integrated system. Infinite Campus will support a range of key functions, including student scheduling, attendance, grades, and communication with families. Our dedicated team has been working diligently to ensure that all student data is accurately transferred from PowerSchool into Infinite Campus. While every effort is being made to verify the accuracy of this data, we recognize that some errors may still need to be addressed. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this transition. We are committed to keeping you informed and supported throughout this process. As always, student safety is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the weather in our area and will hold buses if necessary, ensuring buses are not released until the weather is clear. The Public Schools of Robeson County's Child Nutrition Department remains committed to serving breakfast and lunch to all students this week. Our Child Nutrition Department has received multiple questions about meal services. We want parents to be assured that we will be serving meals this week. Parents please be assured that if there are changes in services, we will communicate those changes to you directly.

Public Schools of Robeson County schools will dismiss at 11:30 am on Friday, January 10, 2025, due to potential winter weather impacts. All afternoon and after-school activities for Friday have been canceled. Afterschool care will not be available.

Hispanic Heritage Month Parade October 5, 2023 Dear Parents, September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic American Heritage Month. This month, our school is celebrating Hispanic Heritage. Students have spent this month learning about different Hispanic customs and traditions. In addition to all the fun school events planned, our resource classes will be working on fun projects such as artwork and dance. The concluding celebration will consist of a parade in the hallways on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Each grade level will march through the halls, sharing maracas, dancing, and showing off Hispanic heritage attire. The “Ask a Healthcare Professional” themed PSRC District Family Night Event is scheduled to take place Jan. 19 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Southeastern Agricultural Center located at 1027 US-74 Alt, Lumberton, NC 28358. This event is made possible through a partnership with Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
