Ms. Kim McNeill's 5th grade science classes are exploring wind speed! To make the lesson come to life, the students built their own anemometers—devices that measure both wind speed and direction. It's exciting to see such engaging, hands-on learning happening in our classrooms!
Union Chapel's 12 Days of Christmas celebrations are in full swing! From now until December 20th, we're spreading holiday cheer with a fun lineup of festive dress-up days. Today, our school shone bright with the theme, "All is Bright: Wear light-up jewelry, sequins, and tinsel." A huge thank you to all the students and staff who joined in and helped make today’s celebration extra special and full of holiday magic!

To enhance their understanding, the students created their own barometers and experimented to see which types of air create high pressure and which create low pressure. It’s wonderful to see this hands-on learning in action in our classrooms!

Today, we were truly "socked" in the best way with the theme, "The Stockings Were Hung: Wear Holiday Socks." A big thank you to all the students and staff who participated and helped make today's celebration extra special and full of holiday spirit!
We invite all of our Tiger Grandparents to attend our Grandparents' Breakfast tomorrow, December 10th, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the school cafeteria.
If your child is not riding to school with their grandparent tomorrow, please have the grandparent check in at the main office, and we will call for their grandchild to meet them. Additionally, please remind your child not to take breakfast from the grab-and-go cart if they plan to eat in the cafeteria.
Grandparents are invited to have their picture taken with their grandchild. Photos will be available for just $1.00 each. Please share this invitation with all of our students' grandparents.

The afternoon will be filled with exciting events, starting with conferences from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the teachers' classrooms. At 6:15 p.m., our Christmas Program will begin in the cafeteria, featuring performances by our 2nd and 3rd grade classes. While you're there, be sure to visit the cafeteria foyer to enjoy a display of the students' holiday artwork.
As an added bonus, food will be served. Hot dogs, chips, and a drink will be sold for $5.00. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Union Chapel's 12 Days of Christmas kicked off today! Over the next 12 school days, we'll be celebrating the holiday spirit with fun dress-up days.
Today's theme was "Tis the Season: Wear Red and Green," and we couldn't think of a better way to start than by spreading some holiday cheer in our festive colors.

A big thank you to our music teacher, Mrs. Angela Oxendine, for giving our students the opportunity to explore these fun and unique instruments. It certainly looks like they’re having a blast!
