📸 3rd Grade Trip to the Farmers Market! 🌾🐝

Our 3rd graders had an amazing time at the Robeson County Community Agriculture Day held at the Farmers Market in Lumberton! It was a fun-filled learning experience where students got to explore and discover:

🌿 What cotton is used for
🐝 The importance of pollinators
🌾 How wheat is ground into flour—and what it can make!

We are so thankful to all the wonderful workers at the Robeson County Agriculture Building for putting together such an engaging and educational day. Our students had a blast and learned so much.

Check out some photos from Ms. Clancy’s class! 👇

This past Friday, our students at Union Chapel Elementary learned important lessons about lithium-ion battery safety as part of Fire Prevention Week. They discovered how to safely buy, charge, store, and dispose of these common batteries found in everyday devices. A special thank-you to the Burnt Swamp Fire Department for taking the time to visit and teach our students about fire safety and prevention. We appreciate all you do to keep our community safe! 🚒

This week, Mrs. Lindsay and Mrs. Amy’s Kindergarten class was inspired by the story Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon!📚 After reading, the students let their imaginations soar—designing and building their very own toys just like Molly Lou Melon! Using everyday materials, they shared ideas, worked together, and had an amazing time creating one-of-a-kind toys. 🎨✨

📚 Ms. Bobbie’s 3rd Graders Are Taking Charge of Their Reading Journey!

Ms. Bobbie’s 3rd graders are hard at work identifying the areas they find most challenging in reading and exploring strategies to overcome them. By writing about their struggles and solutions, students are learning to self-reflect, set goals, and grow as readers.

This empowering process helps them take ownership of their learning journey—building confidence, resilience, and a love for reading along the way! 💪📖
