sandhills region

RALEIGH – State Superintendent Maurice “Mo” Green’s strategic plan regional tour, in collaboration with the State Board of Education, will make its Sandhills Region stop on Monday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. at Lumberton High School.

During the event, Green will share more about the state’s bold five-year strategic plan, Achieving Educational Excellence, and engage with community stakeholders about strengthening public education in North Carolina. In addition, he will meet with educational leaders and discuss partnerships between the district, UNC-Pembroke and Robeson Community College, and tour the construction site of the new Career Center.

"We are honored to welcome Superintendent Green to Robeson County. His visit provides an important opportunity to highlight the amazing work happening in our schools, the strong partnerships with UNC-Pembroke and Robeson Community College, and the development of the new Career Center, all of which advance educational and career opportunities for our students," PSRC Superintendent Dr. Williamson said.

Parents, students, educators, school and district staff, public officials, and community members across the Sandhills are invited to attend this important conversation.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is strongly encouraged to ensure space for all who wish to attend.
