LUMBERTON – The Public Schools of Robeson County hosted its annual Middle School Jamboree on Saturday, September 20, at Lumberton Senior High School, and the event was a great success. Families, students, and community members filled the stands to support middle school athletes as they took the field ahead of the football season.

The jamboree, featuring matchups across multiple schools on both the main and practice fields, gave parents and fans a special opportunity to cheer for their students before the first official games of the season. The event also allowed players to test their skills against future opponents and gain valuable game experience.

PSRC Athletic Director Glenn Patterson emphasized the importance of the jamboree for both players and coaches.

“These games, held the Saturday before the first season game, give coaches and teams the chance to review plays, correct mistakes, and build confidence. It’s an opportunity to prepare for a successful season while bringing our community together to celebrate our student-athletes,” Patterson said.

The energy and excitement at the jamboree underscored the strong support for middle school athletics in Robeson County. Coaches, players, and families left the event with momentum and enthusiasm as the regular season approaches.
