LUMBERTON — The Public Schools of Robeson County (PSRC) proudly recognized its October 2025 Impact Award recipients during the Tuesday, October 14 meeting of the PSRC Board of Education.

The PSRC Impact Award honors employees who demonstrate exceptional service, dedication, and commitment to the district’s mission of ensuring that all students are educated, inspired, and empowered. Each month, one certified and one classified employee are selected for their contributions to a positive and productive school culture that reflects the district’s motto — “One Team, One Goal.”

The district extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Austin Jacobs and Chick-fil-A for sponsoring this month’s gift cards and to Mr. Brandon Ventura and Sign City for sponsoring the commemorative plaques presented to each honoree.

Classified Impact Award Recipient: Mr. Herbert Washington

The Public Schools of Robeson County is proud to recognize Mr. Herbert Washington, Teacher Assistant at Lumberton Junior High School, as the October 2025 Classified Impact Award recipient.

Principal Dr. Jamane Watson commended Mr. Washington’s professionalism, reliability, and unwavering commitment to the school’s mission.

“Mr. Washington is always willing to step in and assist wherever he is needed across campus. Whether supporting school events or lending a hand in day-to-day operations, he demonstrates flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to the school’s mission. His dedication and positive presence make him an integral part of the Lumberton Junior High School team, and his impact is felt by students, staff, and families alike,” Dr. Watson said.

Mr. Washington’s willingness to serve, paired with his dedication to students and colleagues, reflects the spirit of teamwork and excellence celebrated throughout the district.

Certified Impact Award Recipient: Mr. Isaiah Stanley

PSRC also recognized Mr. Isaiah Stanley, Math Teacher at Lumberton Junior High School, as the October 2025 Certified Impact Award recipient.

Dr. Watson praised Mr. Stanley’s leadership and innovation.

“Mr. Stanley provides critical leadership and support for both students and staff. As Math Department Chair, he leads with vision and collaboration, ensuring alignment in curriculum and instruction across grade levels. In his role as Digital Teaching and Learning Technology Coach, he equips colleagues with innovative tools and strategies that enhance instruction and expand opportunities for student engagement. Mr. Stanley’s impact extends well beyond his classroom—he is a leader, innovator, and advocate for excellence, making him an essential contributor to the growth and success of Lumberton Junior High School,” Dr. Watson said.

Mr. Stanley’s dedication to advancing student learning and supporting his colleagues embodies PSRC’s commitment to continuous improvement and educational excellence.
