LUMBERTON — Long Branch Elementary School will welcome a new face to its administrative team following the Tuesday approval of a new assistant principal for the school by the PSRC Board of Education.
Amber Marshall was approved to assume the role of Assistant Principal during the closed session of the Tuesday evening Public Schools of Robeson County Board of Education meeting. Ms. Marshall expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve in this new leadership capacity and shared her excitement about contributing to the continued success of her school community.
“I believe in the power of strong relationships with students, staff, and families. By building trust and open communication, I strive to create a culture where every child feels valued and every educator feels supported. I am also committed to supporting positive behavior interventions and restorative practices that encourage responsibility and respect while maintaining a safe and nurturing school environment,” Marshall said.
“Long Branch Elementary’s reputation for academic growth and community pride aligns closely with my own values as an educational leader. I look forward to the opportunity to serve LBES students, staff, and families,” she added.
Marshall previously served as an academic coach at Pembroke Elementary School. Prior to joining the Public Schools of Robeson County, Ms. Marshall built an extensive career in education as a fourth-grade teacher, lead teacher and preschool teacher in New Jersey. Throughout her tenure, she consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering student growth and academic excellence. During the 2023-2024 academic year, she was recognized as teacher of the year at Samuel T Busanskey Elementary School in New Jersey.
