ROBESON COUNTY — The Public Schools of Robeson County proudly announces that both the Lumberton Senior High School and St. Pauls High School JROTC Air Rifle Teams have earned spots among the top 22 schools across five states to compete in the 2025 Best of the Best Air Rifle Competition in Hickory, North Carolina.
Selected from a highly competitive field of more than 80 teams, this qualification represents an outstanding achievement for these cadets—highlighting their discipline, precision, and commitment to excellence.
The teams will travel to Hickory for an overnight competition trip, departing December 3 and returning December 4.
“This accomplishment is a testament to the skill, focus, and leadership that our JROTC programs instill in students,” said PSRC Superintendent Dr. Freddie Williamson. “We are incredibly proud of these cadets for representing the Public Schools of Robeson County with such distinction.”
The Best of the Best competition brings together top JROTC air rifle teams from across the Southeast, offering students a unique opportunity to compete at an elite level and further develop their marksmanship and teamwork skills.
