LUMBERTON — Christmas came early for students in Exceptional Children’s classes at Lumberton Junior High School this past week.
Santa Claus made a quick stop to the school on Thursday to deliver holiday cheer and deliver presents to students.
Students cheered and chattered as their special visitor joined them in the auditorium of the school.
“We are thrilled to bring a little extra joy to our students this holiday season,” said Doshie Kirkwood, LJHS Media Coordinator, who coordinated the event. “Seeing their smiles and excitement makes all the planning worthwhile.”
LJHS Principal Dr. Jamane Watson could be seen taking photos of students at the event and interacting with students.
“This event reminds us of the importance of community and celebration. Every student deserves to feel special, and this was a perfect opportunity to make that happen,” Dr. Watson said.
The school would like to thank everyone who helped make the visit possible including the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, who helped coordinate Santa’s route to the school.
