LUMBERTON — PSRC Early College High School has earned first place at the High School Regional Competition, securing a spot in the upcoming State High School Battle of the Books. 

“We are incredibly proud of our scholars for this remarkable accomplishment,” said Principal Andrew Davis. “Their commitment to reading, collaboration, and academic excellence truly sets them apart. This achievement is a testament to their hard work and the support of our dedicated staff. We are excited to see them represent our school and county at the state level.”

The team’s outstanding performance at the regional level reflects their dedication, teamwork, and strong commitment to academic excellence. Their achievement highlights the hard work of both students and staff who have supported their preparation.

PSRC Early College will compete at the State High School Battle of the Books on April 24 in Statesville, North Carolina. The competition brings together top-performing teams from across the state to test their knowledge of selected literary works. 

“I am proud to see our students moving on to represent PSRC and Sandhills Regional 4 to compete during the state Battle of the Books Competition,” said PSRC Media Supervisor Cindi Humphrey.

The school district proudly celebrates this accomplishment and looks forward to supporting the team as they represent their region at the state level.
