📌 PSRC Board of Education Meeting Highlights | April 21, 2026
The Public Schools of Robeson County Board of Education met Tuesday evening to celebrate student success, recognize outstanding employees, and approve key district business. Here are a few highlights:
Pledge of Allegiance
The meeting’s Pledge of Allegiance was proudly led by the St. Pauls High School JROTC cadets.
🏆 Historic Battle of the Books Victory
PSRC Early College High School was recognized for winning 1st Place in the North Carolina High School Battle of the Books State Championship — the first state title in district history! Additional district winners from elementary, middle, and high school levels were also recognized.
🌟 Beta Club State Honors
Students from across the district were celebrated for top finishes at the North Carolina Beta Club State Convention, earning opportunities to compete at nationals this summer in Nashville. 👏 April Impact Awards
The Board honored two outstanding employees for making a difference each day:
🔹 Classified Impact Award: Sharron McLean, Data Manager at Red Springs Middle School
🔹 Certified Impact Award: Pauline Cheng, Music Teacher at Lumberton Junior High School
🍎 Child Nutrition Review Success
District leaders shared results from the recent Child Nutrition Administrative Review, praising cafeteria teams and staff for their hard work serving students each day.
✅ Board Action Items Approved
The Board approved:
• 2026-27 Title VI Grant Application
• Lawn service contract renewals
• Proposed 2026-27 capital outlay projects
• Additional teacher supplement (PRC 071) (More information coming soon for teachers)
• Visitor management system purchase (Centegix)
• Monthly financial report
