LUMBERTON — Three schools will welcome new assistant principals in the upcoming school year, following the PSRC Board of Education’s approval on Tuesday during its regular meeting.
The appointments were approved during the closed session portion of the meeting as part of the personnel report and will become effective in the 2026-2027 academic year.
Deep Branch Elementary
Darline Scott will step into the role at Deep Branch Elementary. She previously served as an academic coach at Union Chapel Elementary.
Lumberton Junior High
Ashley Locklear will serve as an assistant principal at Lumberton Junior High. She previously served as an academic coach at Littlefield Middle School.
Pembroke Middle
Treasure Lendon will take on an assistant principal role at Pembroke Middle School, where she most recently served as an academic coach.
"Investing in strong school leadership is one of the most important ways we can support student achievement, and these appointments reflect the depth of talent within our district," said PSRC Superintendent Dr. Freddie Williamson.
