ST. PAULS, N.C. — After earning a Gold Rating from the North Carolina FFA Association, the St. Pauls FFA Chapter has taken its success to the national stage, earning a prestigious 2-Star Rating through the National FFA Chapter Award Program.
The Gold Rating placed St. Pauls FFA among chapters eligible to advance to national competition, where qualifying chapters from across the country are evaluated for National FFA 3-Star, 2-Star or 1-Star recognition.
The National Chapter Award Program recognizes FFA chapters that successfully implement the organization’s mission and strategies while providing meaningful educational experiences for their members. Chapters are evaluated using National Quality Chapter Standards and their Program of Activities, with an emphasis on growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture.
In addition to receiving national recognition through the National FFA Chapter Award Program, the St. Pauls FFA Chapter will have one of its members competing at the 99th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
After earning first place in the Spanish Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event at the North Carolina State FFA Convention, Mariela Pineda has earned the opportunity to compete against FFA members from across the nation. This prestigious competitive event challenges students to deliver the FFA Creed in Spanish while demonstrating confidence, poise, and effective public speaking skills.
Participating in the Spanish Creed Speaking event provides students with valuable opportunities to strengthen their communication abilities, build confidence, and experience personal growth. The event also reinforces the principles and values of the National FFA Organization, as the FFA Creed outlines the vision, beliefs, and commitment to agriculture held by FFA members.
Mariela’s accomplishment is a tremendous achievement for both her and the St. Pauls FFA Chapter. Her success represents the dedication, preparation, and hard work she has invested in developing her skills and serves as an inspiration to fellow FFA members in the chapter and throughout North Carolina.
Earning national recognition reflects the St. Pauls FFA Chapter’s commitment to excellence in leadership development, community involvement and agricultural education, as well as the dedication of its members, officers and advisors.
“We are incredibly proud of our members and officers for helping us achieve this accomplishment. It is a representation of all the hard work our students put into the program,” said Kyle Chavis, an FFA advisor for the chapter.
“This national recognition is a testament to the hard work, leadership and commitment of our St. Pauls FFA students, officers and advisors,” said PSRC Superintendent Dr. Freddie Williamson. “Our Career and Technical Education programs are preparing students to become leaders in their communities and in the workforce, and accomplishments like this demonstrate what our students can achieve when they are given opportunities to learn, lead and serve. We are extremely proud of the St. Pauls FFA Chapter for representing the Public Schools of Robeson County with excellence.”
