PARKTON — In a small town where familiar faces and strong community ties are a hallmark of community belonging for residents, Parkton Elementary School carries that same hometown spirit into its classrooms.
At Parkton Elementary, every child is known, valued and loved—a commitment reflected in the family atmosphere that Principal Christine Trasente said remains at the heart of the school.
The close-knit school community and strong advocacy for student success within the school’s facilities and the greater Parkton community creates a foundation where children can thrive.
“Parkton Elementary isn't just where children come to learn; it's where they are loved, encouraged, and inspired to become their very best,” Trasente said.
That sense of belonging goes hand-in-hand with the school’s commitment to supporting the whole child. In a safe and caring environment, students are encouraged to grow academically, socially and emotionally while developing the confidence they need to succeed.
This year, Trasente said the school will carry that commitment forward through its theme, “Growing Together, Succeeding Together, and United in Purpose!”
The message reflects a simple idea rooted in the spirit of the Parkton community: when people come together with a shared purpose, their collective impact can reach far beyond what any one person could accomplish alone.
Through partnerships with families, high expectations for students and celebrations of accomplishments both big and small, Parkton Elementary will continue working to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, lead and succeed, the principal said.
“I am honored to be part of a school family that grows stronger each day by working together to ensure every student reaches their full potential and experiences success,” Trasente said.
In Parkton, that school family extends well beyond the classroom. It is neighbors supporting neighbors, educators believing in their students and families working alongside the school—all united by a shared investment in the children who call this small town home.
And at Parkton Elementary, growing together means ensuring every child has strong roots at home and every opportunity to flourish wherever the future may lead.
