“Magnolia Elementary BETA clubs (Jr and Middle) sent letters of encouragement to our neighbors in Western NC. Robeson county knows first hand the devastation of hurricanes and record level flooding. The BETA club sent letters of encouragement to the victims and expressed their gratitude to the first responders who have left home in order to lend a helping hand. We stand with Western NC and are sending prayers along the way!

MES Alert: Good evening this message is for Magnolia Elementary parents and students state benchmarks for math reading and science will begin Monday October 21st and end Monday October 28th. First quarter nine weeks will end October 24th any student who has missing assignments is encouraged to complete prior to this date. Parents please review your child's grades using the parent portal in powerschool. Lastly we are still collecting candy and proceeds for our harvest festival on October 24th. Please come out and support Magnolia on this date. Thank you.

Magnolia Elementary School wants to extend a huge Thank you to University of North Carolina at Pembroke-School of Education and the Brave Scholars for their huge donation to the students and teachers. On Friday, October 18, Brave Scholars came out and met with Magnolia BETA Sponsors and BETA officers (elementary and junior chapters) to present them with donations collected through their Pencils and Purpose Supply Drive! Magnolia Elementary School is looking forward to working with UNCP, Brave Scholars, The American Indian Heritage Center and The Center of Community Engagement🖤

MES Alert: Good afternoon parents, We are having a brief PTO meeting this afternoon at 4 in the media center to discuss the upcoming harvest festival. If you are interested in attending please be prompt and on time in the library. For those unable to attend we will post the agenda for everyone to view. Thank you and have a great day!
PTO is asking parents to please donate bags of candy for the harvest festival. The candy is due Monday, October. 21st. Your child can turn the bags into their homeroom teacher. The class with the most will receive an Ice Cream Party.

On October 14th, students and staff celebrated Indigenous Day.
Beta Club, AISA club, and students from Magnolia Elementary in collaboration with the Lumbee Tribe, collected items to send to Western NC families.
ELEMENTARY HONORS CHORUS AUDITIONS...are this week: Monday Oct 14 thru Thursday Oct 17. On the 17th, 20 people will be selected to rehearse and learn the music. (The extra 10 are alternates for students who drop out, as there are only 10 spots.)
Parents will need to drop off their child from 8:30 to 9:00, come to the concert at 5 pm, and take your child home at 5:45 when the concert is over. The location is Lumberton First Baptist Church. Address: 606 N Walnut St, Lumberton
Elementary Honors Chorus is on Nov 14 This is an advanced music performing experience! They will learn so much.

The HOME volleyball game today vs St. Pauls will begin at 4pm. Students may stay after and will be required to pay $5. The "Nothing Bundt Cakes" fundraiser is running for $7. Remember to sell to complete our Digital Marquee proceeds. Our upcoming annual Harvest Festival is accepting candy donations. Unity Day is Wed-Please wear orange.
