The PSRC Migrant Education Program invites our Migrant Families to attend our first Family Night. During this meeting on Thursday, December 15, 2022 we will cover the following topics: Christmas Around the World, Migrant Education Program in Robeson County, and Community resources. NCDPI K-12 Science Standards Survey The NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is collecting feedback from educators, administrators, parents, students, institutions of higher education, business/industry representatives, national organizations, and other education agencies on each draft of the revised K-12 Science Standards. PSRC employees will work remotely on Wednesday and PSRC Central Office will be closed from Nov. 23-25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. 🦃 We are thankful for our students and staff members across the district who form our #PSRCFamily. Can Food Drive through BETA for Pembroke Food Bank. Thursday 11/17 - Monday 11/21 Students who bring in items get a token for each item. (5 tokens max). Kindergarten and 1st grade - can of green beans. 2nd and 3rd grade - can of corn 4th and 5th grade - box of rice 6th and 7th grade - box of mac and cheese. 8th grade - can of cranberry sauce.

Order your Sunglasses for the Beta Dance early to make sure your child gets a pair. Pre-sale on Tuesday 11/15, and the sunglasses are $2. The Beta dance will be next Monday 11-21. They will be looking so cool!

You are cordially invited to the Michael D. Baker Gymnasium Naming Ceremony, which will take place Saturday at Fairmont High School. The ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. Michael Baker is a 1977 Fairmont High School graduate. He has coached volleyball and basketball teams at the school and serves as the school's athletic director. He also teaches science at FHS. Please join us in honoring Coach Baker at the ceremony!

Wednesday-Oct. 26th is “Team Up Against Drugs & Bullying” Wear Favorite team jersey. Thursday-Oct. 27th is “Go Pink” Come dressed in your favorite pink shirt, hat, scarf, socks. Contest: Choose theme for next year. Friday-Oct. 28th is “Magnolia chooses to Celebrate Drug/Bully Free Life !” Wear favorite costume(no masks, must meet dress code requirements). For National Coaches Appreciation Day, Magnolia PTO celebrated their coaches with McCafe treats!

PSRC students across the district will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12th. Early dismissal will take place for a half day required teacher workday.

Magnolia has a new Beta Club program called Super Readers. They promote reading is super to K-1 graders.
