
Due to weather conditions, Parkton Youth Association will not have basketball sign ups tomorrow, Saturday January 25th.

Students in grades 3-8 will be taking the 2nd NC Check-In this week. Testing will begin on Tuesday, January 28th through Friday, January 31st. Please encourage your students to do their best on these assessments. Remember that students need to be well rested, on time, and cannot be checked out early during a testing session.

Due to expected temperature and road conditions, tomorrow, Friday, January 24, 2025 will be a remote Teacher Workday and non instructional day for students. All afternoon and after-school activities will be canceled. Our behavior incentive will be postponed and announced at a future date.

Our 8th grade night for winter sports will be on Monday, January 27th. Athletes will be recognized between the girls and boys game. Parents need to arrive no later than 4:45.

The end of the second quarter and first semester is Friday, January 17th. There will be no school on Monday, January 20th for MLK day and no school on Tuesday or Wednesday, January 21st and 22nd for teacher workdays.


Parkton Youth Association will have basketball sign ups on Saturday , January 18th from 10am-12pm in Parkton's gym. This will be the cutoff date for 5th-8th grade sign up. 1st through 4th grade students are also able to sign up at this time.

Bruin of the Week


On Friday, January 24th, we will have our behavior incentive. K-4 will be given the opportunity to play or watch life size hungry hungry hippos. 6-8 will be given the opportunity to play or watch dodgeball with a signed permission slip. Students must meet all behavior expectations and pay the $1 entry fee in order to attend.

Public Schools of Robeson County schools will dismiss at 11:30 am on Friday, January 10, 2025, due to potential winter weather impacts. All afternoon and after-school activities for Friday have been canceled. Afterschool care will not be available.


Tomorrow, Friday January 10th, will be an early dismissal due to the potential wintry mix. Dismissal will begin at 11:30, please make arrangements for your students.

1/9/25 Afternoon: Due to a bus driver shortage, Bus 335 second load will be slightly delayed. If you would like to pick up your Bus 335 second load bus student, please carefully drive to the back and let Mr. Alford know. As a reminder, this is only allowed on days that we have bus issues.
